Why humans should write your blog, not ai.

AI is (mostly) useless for what you’re using it for…..here’s why.

By now you may have heard of “AI Slop”. But do you really know what it means and, more importantly, how it might effect your content?

You may have been sold on the fact that AI is the wonder kid of content creation (especially with written content) and that you can basically use an AI model to automatically create blogs, news articles relevant to your industry or even Ebooks and lead magnet giveaways.

If you have done this, we suggest you should probably do a couple of things. One; proof read anything that your model has written and research the sources. And two; write the next ones yourself.

The internet is now so full of AI generated “content” (and we use that word VERY loosely here) that when you ask your model to write a blog about *insert industry* it will go and pull the information from any source it deems relevant and credible. Now how does a non intelligent word processor deem what is and isn’t credible? It doesn’t. Most base their “credibility” on views, watch time, clicks etc. And even more shocking is that a lot of the time the information comes from another AI generated paper/article/research project that isn’t even real to begin with.

This means that without even being aware of it, you may be publishing articles and blogs that are partly (or even completely) false.

No business wants to ever do this knowingly or unknowingly so its important to check every single part of what is written by an AI model for your business. Use it for outlines/sketch articles sure. But never trust that what it says is the truth.

As of 2025 a touch over half of all internet traffic is non human. and the majority of that non human traffic is out to build fake news, fake articles, AI generated video and photos and media just to make sure people keep watching, clicking and paying for things online. This is what your AI agent is reading when it’s researching your industry.

So what can you use AI for?

AI is great as a tool to help with time consuming or technical solutions such as writing an instruction to insert a speed ramp in a video editing software or writing a small snippet of code to animate some website text. It can be used as a sketch board to go back and forth with for ideas that YOU already have and clarify what to write about. Or it can be used to automate tedious tasks such as backups, file organisations and managament.

The point is that you should always have the creativity, the research ability and the knowledge to write about your industry. Don’t trust your AI model to do it for you no matter what some people will try and sell you.

(PS - be careful with business ideas/data/info that you paste into that AI model too. Beecause some of that might be used by another to write a blog post…)
